CHEF YERIKA’S
BEGINNINGS
Chef Yerika Muñoz studied Gastronomy at the California School of Culinary Arts in the city of Pasadena, California (USA)
She did her professional internship in the pastry area at The Peninsula Hotel, located in Beverly Hills, where she received the proposal to stay and work for another year.
Thanks to her tenacity, perseverance and courage, she accepted the challenge of opening the restaurant Frida, the legendary Mexican haute cuisine restaurant in the city of Beverly Hills, Los Angeles.

Chef Yerika founded Frida Restaurant, located in Beverly Hills, creating her menu based on family recipes from her mother and grandmothers.
Serving and satisfying the demanding palate of clients such as Michael Jordan, Salma Hayek, Eva Longoria, Michael J. Fox and many others.
Frida quickly established itself, thanks to Chef Yerika Muñoz, as one of the best restaurants of the best quality and authentic Mexican cuisine in California.

While on board Crystal Cruises, she was invited to lead a very exciting and attractive new project: Astrid y Gastón México.
In August 2007, she had the opportunity to expand her culinary experience by joining the team of the great and internationally recognized Chef, Gastón Acurio.
Inaugurated on November 10, 2008, Astrid & Gastón México was proudly runs the best Peruvian food establishment in Mexico City.

Crystal Cruises
Thanks to her talent, she was contacted on several occasions by Crystal Cruises executives, as they considered her to be a great leader and wanted her to be part of their team.
With Crystal Cruises she had the opportunity to direct more than 180 chefs, led jointly with 10 other chefs at the helm.
Chef Yerika Muñoz was the only Latin woman in a male environment, so she had to prove that she was not only an excellent Chef, but that she was also capable of leading highly competitive staff.
During her time onboard, she had the opportunity to see the world, being able to taste the gastronomy and see new cultures of food in different countries.
